What kinda of Cobra do I have!!??
HELP!! Hello guys I am new to the club and this is my first post. I have had this car for 5-6 years and have been told its everything from a superformance to a.... fill in the blank. The California title, under make say "SPCNS". A little about the car, 351 winsor bored 40 over has a bm blower 6-71 I think, final compression is 15.6:1 i run 100 avgas usually, 33 degrees btdc is has a tremec 5 speed. The reason I dont think its a Super is it doesnt have the reverse speedo, the dash in general just looks different, but then again is has additional gauges.. Rev limiters etc. So I will try and post some pix that might help in the mean type I would love some imput Thanks John

Welcome, John. Yes pics will most definitely help. Lots of different queues (rollbar shape/angle/height, engine compartment layout, fender shapes, etc.) to help you indentify what car you have.

P.S. Blown car...wow...any chance it is silver in color? I recall seeing one in silver running a huffer.

The first 6 digits of the VIN willl answer the question as well, but won't satisfy the perverts here who like drooling over pictures of Cobras. Present company included.

Between the hood latch and the shot of the interior passenger door, it looks like it is a Classic Roadster to me.

I think it is a Classic Roadster also. In fact when I first looked at the picture I thought I was looking at my old Cobra except for the engine.

Looks like a Classic Roadster or Emerson to me.
Where in Ca are you. There are CR's in northern and southern Ca to compare to.

If it's at Classic, wouldn't it then be a dis-continuation replica kit car?

sure is
a Classic Roadster. Excalibur cars had molded hood latches, Classics, metal boxes housed the VW latch.

Case solved: It IS a slightly modified Classic Roadsters. The E-Brake boot, the custom dash, the door panels' the inside of the body at the hood bumpers and edgeing, and per Jay especially the hood latch-box is strictly CR's and the latch assembly in its entirety is VW, the roll bar, the seats are custom seats by CR. That just about covers it-Not an Emerson nor an Excaliber. Great Car! Like to a have a ride in that one!

And that's definately not a 6-71 blower. I've actually never seen one that small.
2, 3 or 4-71 is my bet.
