65' Ford Cobra. How much are they worth?
Just wondering what a 65' Ford Cobra's are going for these days in NZ or Auzzie. I have found a mint, and when I say mint I mean mint, on over in the UK that is going for $11,000USD. This includes shipping & insurance costs.
It is a manual and has a 427ci under the hood.
What do they go for these days?

What you found is a scam, run as far away as you can get from that advertisement. Real Cobras go for $400,000 and up, heck, even most replicas go for over $20,000 US

Listen to what Bill said. You can't buy an original wheel for that price hardly.

Get an Airplane ticket and go get it
Peter tell the guy you are flying in with money in hand. just need a lift from airport to car. DON'T EVEN THINK OF BUYING THIS WITHOUT SEEING IT IN PERSON. Maybe you found a fool or maybe you are going to become the fool. Any cobra orginal with the right CSX # is worth 75K and up. Do care about any pictures. To start with get the CSX number and get info from the Shelby club directory about this car and maybe it's life and any misteries about it. Bottom line, do your home work before jumping into this, It could be a barn find also, you never know. How did you come apond this deal????? That's another big flag for scams. Play the guy and see what happens. Do you know I have won 6 lotterys in england and not 1 of them has sent me a check or been able to visit them when I was there. It was fun to play the game, I did tell the guys that if I caught up to them they where going swimming in the Thames river with lead boots. Pieces of crap like this need to be with there own specs. You say USD$11,000.00, that would be around NZ$17,000.00, yet I look at a well built local Replica going for around NZ$80,000.00....... at best it will be a '65' titled car but it wont happen at those $$$ unless you have left out one '0' in the quoted price.

You're not very lucky Rick. I've won at least 30 lotteries and inherited bazillions of dollars from people in at least 12 countries. That has just been in the last 2 months since I rebuilt the computer and set up the new Outlook.
I was going to wait until I got about a dozen more so I could buy an Island and a new Jet liner to fly over and pick it up, I'll use some for a runway on whatever Island I decide on.
That kind of money will just burn a hole in my pocket, so I want a solid plan first.

Csx ?????
And all this time I thought that CSX Cobras were Shelbys, and not Fords - just sold thru Ford Dealers. So, if car is a '65 Ford Cobra - what is it really?
Sounds like a scam to me too!
My $0.02 worth

Dex,
You could be right but if it is an original Cobra it should have CSX, COB, or COX as the beginning of the identification number. I don't know if the UK will title one of those cars as a 1965 Ford Cobra. Here the only cars that I know of that have a title like that are replicas. And they are illegal in California. Anyway it would be a great story if it is actually one of the originals. I hope he will post what he finds out about it.

The trade press and internet sites in the UK are awash with ads for '1965 Cobra' and without exception they are all fakes and mostly pretty awful creations. But we can all dream can't we? But let's all get back to the real world now, there's nothing to see here......
