I, for one, hope they do an FIA. Even better, apply the body upgrades to the spec car. Best of all, do an FIA version of the spec car. They do that, and I'll sell one of my other rides and build one.

They posted these mk4 pictures and some details once this topic started blowing up on the other forum. But I think they are still holding something back. They have the body, now's the time.

That would just ensure that we were constantly barraged with cleverly-spun "Cobra for Sale threads."

I got it.
Boy, I sure do enjoy as good ERA owner fight.
Before Ron kicks me off this thread, I really think the new FFR changes are great. I can't wait for the MKV FFR.

Mr. Bruce,
A distant rumor was that you had sold the molds to FFR for a 289 version. Are they moving forward with this?

There's only one company that can use the term authentic in regards to the body, and they are no longer in business...

Jay,
I think what jmimac351 meant was, the more authentic body (meaning more authentic than the previous MKIII) on the new MKIV frame. At least that's the way I read it.

Good grief.
Jay, fyi... I'll be down in Boynton in the next month or so to see my buddy Richard Bailey and visit with Reg Dodd about a TD car. I'd like another cobra and the TD car could fit a dual-purpose application of street and track car which could potentially take the place of my Panoz - and save space and $$$. The reason I am considering that is because Reg supports his product so well and the product is solid. Now this is coming from a guy who's made it pretty clear he's interested in a 289. Well, I have a decision to make on whether I want to go to the track more or have an..."authentic looking" ... "cobra" more.
Your product is a lot different than what FFR is doing and I think caters to a totally different customer. I'm not sure why you are sniping in here with these comments but it's not the sort of thing I'd expect Reg to do, that's for sure.
Take it easy.

Yeah, take it easy Thanks for explaining the product to me. I think you should read my comments again, I'm all for a new offering by FFR... if anything it has been too long. Keep reading and good luck with Reg and the TD car.

Jay, it's probably wiser for you to adopt the strategy that other manufacturers / representatives are employing with this topic and stay clear lest your intent be misconstrued - which obviously I have, right?
Best wishes.
