Chrome Fire Extinguisher
Where have folks found a small chrome fire extinguisher for the cockpit of the cobra? I know there are a few on websites, any other ideas?
Thanks in advance
Paul

I know that place like Summit or Jegs charge a shipping premium because it's considered dangerous and/or hazardous to ship. If you can find a local (i.e. go to Halguard's website and look for a local distributor) source, it will be cheaper. If FinishLine doesn't have to charge a premium, that's probably the way to go.

We had a local fire extinguisher maint. company that kept our extingushers up to date at the company I worked for. I had him get one for me with bracket.

It's a pretty common item with the street rod crowd. Either go through a mail order company, or wait for a local show.

Search Ebay for "chrome fire extinguisher" you'll find the same thing as Finish Line for about 50% less cost.

I got the one that I had at a car show and it wasn't that bad of a price. Cheaper than what I have seen listed on most of the web sites.

Cheapest place I found was Bethania Garage. Looks nice too.

I got mine (halotron) from Griot's Garage. They come in two sizes: 1.4 and 2.5 pounds - both in chrome. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...xtinguisher.do

I just seen these brackets at the Grand National Hot Rod show from Moon Eyes, really top notch, you can buy the bracket by itself. I bought my extingusher at Kragans, it was $60.

How many do you want? I have a source much cheaper than FL.

Got my chrome 2.5 lb also at Bethania garage. As for mounts and brackets here are some very nice looking ones, and anodized in colors also:
http://www.eddiemotorsports.com/stor...uct_list&c=375
Plus they are only $70 as opposed to around $130 for other machined aluminum mounts and brackets.

I can't tell from the description if those are Halon type extinguishers. If they aren't, the price is competitive with other sources.
