Pick up the latest issue of Kit Car Builder Feb 2010. It has the Cobra Guide 2010 which is a listing of different manufacturers with their websites.
London has just about all the different makes show up. It is great to see 300 cars with different color combinations, tires, wheels, stripes, no stripes and engines. It is kind of dominated with FFR and Superformance. But maybe that is the way you might be leaning and there will be many examples of those there.
The big decisions will be your budget and whether you want to get a turnkey, turnkey minus or build it yourself. Once you have that decision made then you can start weeding out certain makes.
Good luck and enjoy the ride!

This is the prettiest cobra i have seen in a picture so far. Its the style that works for me. Its a FF but i dont know how a FF compares in quality to ERA or BDR. Name: 20.jpg

I dont really have a 'budget' it i$ what it i$ for the 'perfect for me' cobra. i do however have a priority list and exceeding 50K on a car i drive once in awhile doesnt rise high on that list. i heard something disturbing the other day regarding the climate change gang and the current goverment, a bill being introduced restricting registrations on any vehicle not earning 30+ mpg to non fed hwys only and only intrastate under their own power by 2012.

I have a lot to learn about cobras so i'm not making any absolutes at this point and will remain just spongey.

thanks for the info on the 'windy city' group, i'll be in touch with them

How so? Based on what the OP shared as his vision of the right car for him...

All great cars you mention, but in the original styling.

That's what I bought (from Jay as a matter of fact) after getting to try on ROUSHAC's BDR at London.

Here's a thought, once you find out which three you want to see find out the hours of operations for each. Then drop in unannounced and see what they really have going on in their shops. I have seen several manufacturers stage a scene for a prospective client. By dropping by you know how many (if any) full time employees they have and how the day to day shop conditions are. Sometimes, there is more to a decision than a low price and a promise.
