Awesome Cobra and your driving ain't bad either. Are you running a solid roller cam and what heads?
Cam= solid roller 287@.050 292 @.050 .780 lift

Heads= Blue Thunder raised port CNC'd and then hand ported about 50 cfm better than my best ported Edelbrocks. The chambers are also way better than Edelbrock. The valves are relocated so that an offset rocker is needed but that helps flow.

Exhausts are 2 1/8 primarys with a 3 1/2 collector, I had to have a new stainless system fabricated because the ports are about .4" higher so we went up in primary size.

Dailey dry sump with Steffs pan and tank worth about 13 hp

Awesome......just love the sound of your motor and was pretty sure it had a solid roller in it. Having another Cobra built (Turn Key Minus) myself and trying to decide on the motor now... I think I'm going to do a 496 FE with solid roller and a bunch of goodies but will be more like 650 HP...

Thank You,

I agree with your approach it can be down right dangerous when you get much over a true 600hp, you really need to be careful with tire choice, I run 40 tread wear Hoosiers, anything less will bite you at big throttle openings. I had some road racing slicks on a couple of years ago that would really light up if you went to full throttle in 4th with a 3:31 rear end at well over 120, they were about an 80 tread wear rating and were very scary. I can't imagine one of these things on say a Pilot Sport with a 220 tread wear rating and 650 hp.

Know where you are coming from. About 5 years ago I had a SPF with a 427 small block stroker, solid roller and all the goodies and it made 638 at the crank and ended up putting some 325/50/15 drag radials on it other wise it just wanted to burn the tires down. Only did straight line stuff no road racing......I'm trying to decide if I should do the big small block stroker again or a FE as I have done mostly small block strokers but thought I might try a big FE in this one. There are a bunch of pics of my past cars in my gallery. Oh friend of mine here in Dallas has a original CSX3000 same color as yours....It came out of Az about 8 years ago also pic in my gallery...
