Default Come on.... own up..... who placed the ad?

The owners of two identical cobs n a legal battle over who owns the original.

... so who's got the heads up in this one?

I would have thought whoever had the chassis had rights to the chassis number. but maybe Im just a simpleton.

That could get to be a sticky mess. I am not familiar with how their law reads over there, but here you have to have about 2/3rds of an original chassis and firewall with the VIN numbers stamped into them that ore original. Just buying some parts that may have the original VIN and building a car won't do it. It isn't a Cobra but the same law applies.A person in this state bought a 32 Ford to restore and it was almost 80% complete, but one of the parts that had the original ID number stamped in it was replaced and they made him register it as a replica under SB-100. If I remember correctly what they told me in Sacramento, the original firewall needs to be retained along with a good portion of the frame. It is confusing as every person he talked to gave him different information as to what had to be original and how much.
