I agree somewhat but it WILL be collectible although it will never see the appreciation of your #4. I believe it was the same concept back in 65 though.. the GT350 was twice the price of the base model. So $60K in 65 dollars would have been closer to $20K which is my point. CS wants more of the future collectible money up front. That being said, this thread is about dream cars and not it's collectible potential. The two have nothing in common.

Understood...I think I have seen the S197 platform being offered in 82 different flavors. If its yer dream car....that ain't a bad thing.

I think my dream car will be along the lines of the RCR Super Lite Coupe (w/ dry sumped LS7 & a Ricardo Transaxle) for about the same dollars.

Oooooooh....Bill, whose SLC izzat? Me want!

I'm actually flip flopping between an RCR GT40 MKI w/ a detuned Cup Motor and the SLC.

Will be moving to NC shortly and will live only an hour from VIR, so the SLC really has my attention for track days.

For those of us into classic sports cars and can't quite swing $12 million for an original Ferrari 250TR, Aston Martin DBR1/2 (another one of "my favorite cars") or D-Jag, there are replicas made. I don't know how much but check out this company: http://www.temperocars.com/index.html

I would be very happy with a GT 40 I like driving hot loud cars that attract police with no humour in they lives,Then you can tell them its built by Ford and its street legal in all 50 states. And you couldnt have been doing 85 mph.

Default Other than my cobra

Other than my Cobra, this is still one of the coolest 1965 mustang fastbacks I've seen.

I am driving my dream cars now with my fully polished Kirkham and my Mercedes Benz SL65, but others that i want to add would include:

1955 Mercedes Benz 300 SL Gullwing
Koenigsegg CCR
Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo
1967 Chevelle SS
Aston Martin V12 Vantage

In 1969 the price of a 427 Cobra put it in the dream range.Fortunatly,I was able to afford another dream car back then and am still living the dream!
But,a Cobra(Kirkham preferably) still rates high on the dream scale along with a Ford GT.

Ford GT, the late model version that has all the creature comforts, but with twin turbos and 1000 hp.

Today at Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills, Calif. I saw CSX 2001. What a beautiful car! The owner, Bruce Meyers drove it to the show, and parked it among all the other cars just like it was "just another car" It,s my new dream car.
