Default Holley Double Pumper leak

Anyone had any issues with leaks from where the fuel lines connect to the carb from the fuel log? Are there special fittings (other than regular 3/8 brake/fuel line) that you need to use to keep the carb from leaking?

I have purcahsed a Mr. Gasket fuel log and cut off the ends so I could mate to my fuel log, but still getting a leak. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and know of a fix.

Thanks in advance

Paul

Mine did the same thing. I had to tighten them tighter than I thought I should. I was worried about breaking the fitting or tearing out threads in the carb. Leak free for the last 8 years. Jim

Use double flair brake line (get a tool to do double flairs or use the soft
3/8 aluminum fuel line with a single flair. Put oil on the threads and the
tube flair area & tighten very tight, should work.

i must say that using aluminum lines for fuel for a street car is quite dangerous. they are also more prone to leakage.

I had stainless steel fuel lines that came together into a single outlet which my fuel line fastened to. One line went to the rear of the carb and the other to the front. In used one round of Teflon tape and never had a leak in the 14 years that I had the car. The lines came from Holly along with the racing carb. Looked good too.

Make sure you are using the very very thin washer on the connection. It will never seal without it.
