Vintage Air heater connections...help
Hey guys
I have the FFR heater installed inside the dash, slightly off center toward the passenger side but still left of the wiper motor, on my MK3.1.
I ran into an istall problem on the engine bay side and need some suggestions.
I put a fake (additional) fire wall in the engine bay to bring the back closer to the engine so as not to have the overhang look. It is forward just about 3 inches from the 1st firewall and rests at the hood lip on the body.
I have the oil vaper canister installed on the new firewall behind the passenger side valve cover so I have to route the heater hosees through the origional firewall and then back toward the drivers side to stick out the fake firewall right behind the carbs.
Now here is my problem!
The hose connections (90 degree elbows) that connect to the heater are too long for my application because with the 5/8" hose attached I don't have enough room between the two firewalls to bend them back 180 degrees (toward the carbs / from heater outlet).
What I need is a 180 degree heater connection (instead of the 90 degree) OR a flexible heater connection with threaded collar for the heater on Vintage Air heater.
Any suggestions?
