Default Kirkham Photo Book. Work of Art !

I just visited the Kirkham website (I don't much because I cry that I can't buy one) and looked at "The Book". Wow, even it's a work of art !
A polished aluminum beauty.

In fact, is the assembly manual also a piece of art ? lol

I wanted to save many photo's to my computer but, it's in acrobat. How can I save them ?

Looking through the photo's, the cars simply amaze me. There are a bunch of very talented people to make their Cobra a true work of art !

Even if you compare them against a car such as Ferrari, I believe the engineering and beauty of the Kirkham surpasses them. Some people may ague this point but it won't change,... my mind. Is all the car made in the USA, no but it's still a Kirkham. I seriously hope, that you lucky owners sit back and count your blessing's, that you're able to own one.

Ferrari have always been a dream car for me, but if I had the funds to have one, the Kirkham 427 Cobra,..... would be in my stable, bar none.

I realize that I'm partial to the Cobra by owning a fiberglass car but, the Kirkham is not a replica or recreation, it's a true Cobra. Is it a 60's original, no,..... it's so much better, it's a true work of art.

FUNFER2, I agree and count my blessing's everytime I fire up my KMP. I have owned several cobra's, but my kirkham has become a member of our family. My buddies as me how the car is before asking about my wife, kids or anything else...

If you want photos look here:

Million Dollar Skunksworks Kirkham

David posted a bunch during the build process. Also look in his photo album.

Stirring the pot Dean?

If there is a reaction, this could be a two bagger.

Yes, those photos are drool. Yes, I wish I had the money, but I am happy with my cobra.

Default "The BOOK"

I have the PDF book saved on my computers at work and at home so I can show friends "the art of the car" book. It is fantastic! I often leave it open on my second monitor just to look at the pictures all day long at the office. I find my favorite is the chapter on suspension, just beautiful.

They were looking into getting the book published in an affordable format for the rest of us, but I haven't seen anything on that in a long time...

Evan long ago recognized that Kirkhams, as acknowledged by the SAAC registry, are real geniune Cobras, not Shelby Cobras, but Kirkham Cobras. Old news.

I was thinking of getting a new license plate "REAL 2."

"They were looking into getting the book published in an affordable format for the rest of us, but I haven't seen anything on that in a long time..."

God I hope so, I can't add a $4,500 book to my library. (even if I had one)

If money was no object, would it be the all aluminum Kirkham even over $500.000 +++ Ferrari or other foreign machine ?

I never thought I would change my mind over a Ferrari, but this Kirkham book made the difference.

Yes,.... to the aluminum Kirkham.

REALLY !

...it is a bit cumbersome for the bathroom, though.

Funfer,

Dave made the book in a oddball 12x12 (or something like that) format. None of the printing houses are set up to do the page size that is required so it is only available as a custom print.

The .pdf book makes it widely available and for basically free.

I could rent out my copy of the book. I could use the income to support my addiction to fuel for kmp 493.
