NJ--starting the process!
In advance of finding and buying a Superformance Mk III, I just ordered the registration package for a "kit car" for NJ. Have gotten some good info from the forum like it has to cover exhaust, mirrors on both sides etc--
Will see how it goes!

Add wiper and defroster/demisters to the requirements now.

Bill,
Can you steer me to, or show any photos of demister/defroster setup? Interested in this for my future Unique 289FIA. Thanks

Kind of tough to see in the picture I have here at the shop (car at the house), but they are at the very base of the windshield and have defroster style ducts leading to them.

Bill,
Where are you getting the defroster requirement now? Have not encountered this as a requirement outside Penn. on a roadster (with exception of NYS and the hair dryer option).

Recent FFR & A&C inspected in our not so favorite "specialty station" (Asbury).....This is why I tell everyone to book at Morristown instead, as they have their act down cold and do these cars by the book.........
Lead inspector told the owner he needed to have the defroster ducts installed in order to pass. Of course this particular station has been known to make up it's own requirements based on what mood the head inspector is in, but still worth mentioning.

Bill,
Do you think we could get away with a plug in type of defroster that is sitting on the dash or wind shield

Most likely not as NJ does not allow items to be placed on the dash area that are not of a permanent nature. Again, if you do not have your cars initial inspection at Asbury, I believe this is a moot point.
