PSE or American Racing wheels?
I have a SPF and have been wanting full polished wheels for a few years now and have finally decided to pull the trigger. I am leaning towards 17' PSE wheels but have also been looking at 18' American Racing for sell on ebay. Does anyone have the American Racing wheels? If so, what have been your experience? The tire selection seems a little more limited with the 18' vs. 17'

Appreciate any thoughts/opinions?

I have the 18" American Racing and I have absolutely no complaints. I have the BFGOODRICH KDW 2 tires and they also work well. I personally think the 18's make the car.

I ordered my wheels from american racing and it was taking to long ,they kept moving the time when finished on the 3rd time putting my order back I called phill at pse, he promissed 3 weeks and he delivered as promised, but they were more money than the american racing.

I have the 17" wheels from Phil at PSE and could not be happier with look and quality. The 18" wheels from ARE would not fit on SPO1867 without modifying the mounting flange by milling it down. Personally, if I have to turn wheels on a lathe and remove material, that concerns me. I know the 18" wheels fit without modification on the later model cars.
Here are a few pics of the 17" PSE wheels on my car:

Sweet looking wheels.
Can't say the same for all those brown yards around you though.

Thanks for the input.
ck1, Do you have any pictures of your car? Also, can you tell me what size tires you are running?

Hydramada, 17 PSE Wheels specs?
Hydramada,
What are the wheels specs for your set? They look great. Do you have contact info for Phil? I want to fit 17" rims to my ERA Cobra.
Thanks

Zoysia grass goes dormant and turns straw color in the winter time in the mid-south.

You wont find a nicer guy then Phil. I have the 17" polished and they are awsome. the rear 335 tires just make the car look mean as hell. I had an issue with a new rim from him, sent it back he took care of the problem with no questions asked, even paid for the shipping back to me. if i had to do it all over again I WOULD. A+
thanks Phil.

I feel like the odd man out here. I don't care for the low profile tires on the 17 and 18" wheels. I like the 15s...

Not the odd man out at all. I have a set of the 15" wheels too. I like both looks on the car and have the option to swap between them. The 15"s are obviously more original and the 17" give the car more of a "hot rod" look. I can say that the 17" ride quite a bit rougher but the handling improvements are noticeable. Here are some pictures of SPO1867 with her 15" shoes:

Hi:
I'm going with 6-pin PSE 15" 427 wheels on CCX3057, being built now. Thanks for the posts, awesome wheels all!
