That's the smart way to approach it. Remember, that rat RodKnock has an aluminum POS car. When he scratches something up he just gets the Brillo pad out from under the kitchen sink and goes to work on it and *poof* it's as good as new.

My solution is that I never drive my car and, when I do, I never park my car anywhere but my garage.

The Brillo pad is for the brushed surface. I would have to get out my Cyclo polisher for the rest of the car.

Scrapes on the underside are no big deal, as you can't see them unless you are under the car. You'll get over it. Just wait until you get your first chip on the nose or rear flares from a rock , then you'll really start to go OCD

We watched DV fix Buckley's ERA overnight when the bottom had a bad dance when being unloaded from a trailer. Came out beautifully...paint matched, etc.

It was also the night before the Fling was about to commence, so no pressure at all on DV.

If it's really screwed up...have a craftsman fix it. If only you can see it, live with it.

Personally...I've had a few scratches. Mine, of course, merely requires a few swipes of the Scotchbrite and it's all muy goodo again.

I kinda agree with Ralphy. There's no need to get so close to the curb in a Cobra. There's hardly any front end in front of the tires. These cars can be a lot more forgiving than other sports cars when it comes to drive ways, etc. Ever pull in to a gas station driveway in a Ferrari?

Consider yourself lucky! I knew someone whose fiberglass "chin" was about 3/8" below the top of the parking curb...when he drove over the little curb, the "chin" scraped and bowed UP, then settled back down BELOW the front of the curb. We had to CAREFULLY lift the front end up as he slowly backed out of the spot.
