Throw out bearing/fork/lakewood bell and a loud POP
I offered to let a friend of a friend to take a short drive around the drive way.
It seems as soon as he pushed in the cable there was a POP. The car didn't move an inch. After shutting it down I noticed the cable was loose and the fork was forward. Ealier that day I backed the car out to work on it and nothing happened.
I am assuming that the fork came off pilot stud.
I ordered a throwout bearing, a clutch fork, a pilot stud and a clutch fork extension. I was told over the phone that I may have been provided the wrong fork from a ealier order.
I'll work on the FFR MK1 next weekend. My knee is hurt right now due to lifting a gun safe the incorrect way.
Any suggestions to put it back the right way?
-Grease the throwout bearing
-Somehow get it to ride 1/16 away from the clutch fingers? Magnets?
-Install the throw out bearing with the pointer towards the cable
