Default Rear Brake Pads Rubbing

Hey Guys:
Finally have over 200 miles on the cobra (weak..I know) but ran into an issue. Yesterday, it was about 95 degrees out and I was cruisin in the cobra. When I got to a stoplight after about 40 mins of driving I noticed smoke coming out of the left rear tire/rim area. I got home took the temperature of the rotor and it was over 500 degrees! The rest of the rotors were in the 180ish range. Anyway, I checked my ebrake cables and they were NOT pulling on either rear brake with the ebrake handle disengaged. When I removed the wheel, it appears that the pads are rubbing on the disc with no play. I can't wiggle either pad like I can on other discs. In fact both rears seem to have less play than the front. I can move the wheel by hand but I definitely feel some resistance over an above the gears in the rear end. If this isn't an e-brake cable adjustment issue, what could it be?

What type of rear brake set-up does it have? It could be a few things. Bad caliper comes to mind first regardless whether it is new or old. Bad hose might also be another option. I doubt it would be anything like a bad master due to the fact the other wheel is free. There generally is less play in the rears than the front, but not much.

Are you sure both pads are hitting the rotor? My other thought might be the caliper is frozen on the mounting.

I believe they are SVO calipers with dust shields, brackets and integrated e-brake. Both pads are touching the rotor.

Have you bleed the brakes? I'm guessing air in the line or caliper. Once it heats up it expands and rubs. Is it still rubbing now that cool?

There is a bleed port in the master cylinder that allows fluid to run "backward" whenever the master cylinder piston is fully retracted. If more calipers were locking up, I would have speculated that the port was blocked, but in this case it obviously isn't.

Khansmith's problem is likely a loose or misaligned caliper, malfunctioning emergency brake mechanism, or a sticking caliper piston.

Brakes are bled. Actually had a pro racing shop do it for me.

I am thinking the issue is a sticking caliper piston.

A deteriorated rubber brake hose will cause a disc brake puck not to return also.
