Probably going to get myself in trouble here, but saying one has to much HP is like saying their manhood is to large.

One just has to learn to use what you have. After all, it's a throttle, not an off/on switch.

So you are saying a guy can't have too big of a unit....huh, like a Sonny's 802 FI.

NOW THAT'S A HUGE UNIT!!

Not fit for Cobras ?

What ever trips your trigger.

Default Ratios

Ernie - Aside from chassis setup, etc, if you want to keep that transmission you may want to try a tad taller rear gear, but it doesn't sound like you're too far off. I like comparing aspects to other cars that "work". Taking into consideration the entire driveline, incl tire sizes, a Cobra with 3.31 rear gear and close ratio trans is about 10.4 mph/1000 rpm in 1st gear. Your TKO-600 with 3.31 rear is 8.4. For reference, a Viper SRT10 is 9.6, and Z06 is 8.4. A 911 GT2 is 7 and Nissan GT-R is 5.3, although I trhink those may be all wheel drive, which is not directly applicable. The Viper and Z06 seem to be a good range for a rear wheel drive car. If you went to a 3.07 rear with wide ratio toploader type 1st gear of 2.78, you would have 9.3 mph/1000 rpm, which seems to be a very likeable combination with great top end too.
