Default 2.73 rearend gears at the drag strip

Put some new 2.73 gears in my car (I want to do some track days down the road), and made a couple passes at the strip. Couldn't hook very well but had a blast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQtmrxaRVTg

Oh, baby!
Any ideas on what you want to do to get her to hook up coming off the line?
What tires are you using (rears)?

Thanks for sharing!

Wow!
I can't believe they let you run with a full cage running those times! 10:99 usually requires a full cage!
Well done! That had to be a thrill..........

Engine is a twin turbo Dart block 331. I drive the car all the time with MT ET street radial tires, I have over 6k miles on them. I got caught in the rain with them twice this year, not the best rain tires, lol. I'm sure I could cut my time down if I ran slicks and drag suspension, but that doesn't interest me. It's a street car for the twisties as much as the straights. Cheers.

That is cool. That car would be in the 9s all day long on those drag radials and a decent track prep.

I'm sold on the twin turbo idea. More power and less noise, what else could you want?

Any pictures of the engine design?
