ItBites,

I appreciate the post, my feathers were beyond ruffled with some of these ignorant comments. I don't mind alittle flack, but I didn't post, "hey what do you think of my car", I asked for other interior pictures...
I am curious as to why this would make a moderator's head hurt...it's still a discussion about something we are all passionate about, and that's the Cobra, my way or your way, I still love the car and love having it.

It just so happened this individual has your brand. Sorry for any collateral impact; hope none of it splashed onto you. All these kit cars and rollers have their peculiarities. My Midstates has a fiberglass body and corvette suspension parts and 540 ci of injected BBC... Oh my!!

It's fine, I get your reasoning... but there is a reverse discrimination that exists and there's no sense fueling that fire. There are plenty of BDR and SPF owners (Kirkham, ERA, etc.) that posses the talent to build a car but not the time. Or the money they can make in that time far exceeds the return.

What makes a kit car economical is providing your time/labor at no cost. Once you factor in your time as money (for some people its a lot more than others) the value goes completely out the window.

We serviced a FFR for a local customer, you almost feel guilty billing them the actual time the labor on them costs ... but the "cheap" factor was removed when he started paying us to do it. That's reality.

Your reality is your own. Your distaste for FFR is frequently displayed here. I'm convinced now that it's simply paranoia. As you know, it's all about the builder's capability when we're talking kits . You don't sell kits. You have a controlled quality environment and FFR does not. At what point do you turn the product over for public consumption or critique? BDRs don't cross the pond in perfect form. Faaaaar from it. The "public" never sees what happens behind the scenes to make BDRs acceptable for delivery. That doesn't happen with a kit. A dealer has the ability to hide what's behind the scenes in prep work before it hits the "public" so when it has it's debut, it's at it's best according to BDR standards. When you pick a garage built FFR off the street, you have no idea of the build stage of the project or the competence of the builder. ItBites...it wasn't directed at you or any other individual, although I found your post to reflect my own thoughts (though you might wanna pull back on lumping all roller-buyers together...some of us don't even look alike or dance )

My head hurt because I just got finished being sucked into that damn humping/barfing dog thing and I turn around and see folks even having to respond like you did...

...and yet, folks are entitled to a bit of freedom in expressing their opinion.

What it means in my world is that I'll have to spend time watching this little discussion to insure it doesn't assplode.

I get it Jamo, I just wanted pictures of INTERIORS...Damn and you all think women are whiney and gossipy...you men are WORSE.
The barfing dog picture was one of the posters in here TButtrick but he deleted it.
Now that it's cleared up...can I just go back to looking at interiors?

Can't we all just get along. I like to think all Cobras are personal interpretations of an original design we have all been drawn to. No two are the same whether the choice of engine, body or interior. Now the real argument should be big block vs small block!

You should have some respect for those who are doing this the home-grown way. You don't have to like what others are doing, but you have shown your true colors when you berated this forum member.

BTW, this goes for you others who consistently have to pipe-in with snootiness, but henrik really got my ire up in suggesting fleiss75 is on the wrong forum. This forum was started before there were BDRs and has always been open to kit cars that generally look like Cobras (even the occasional Lister or GT-40...).

fleiss75 started this thread in a "negative" way by stating that a "boring replica" was off!!! - If you start a discussion that way - and cotinue that path... ("old rude men") you must expect to get feedback in more that one way.

I know my BDR is a replica - in fact I (at one tme) were looking to put a ls7 or ls9 in it - and I have the greatest respect for FFR - I do not have the skill or place to build one - would love to

Pls. keep this forum a positive place to visit - and respect others and don't jump to conclusions...

I was trying to be constructive and explain reactions - hence I repeat: If fleeis75 are looking for other than "boring replica" - look in a Hot Rod forum where novelty is key.
