Holy crap. You should only be on this site when the kids are asleep or out of the house. Just visit this site as soon as you leave the porn sites and you'll be fine. Tell me I'm wrong... we're watching you.

You know I will have to agree with some of the less tasteful postings and videos posted. BUT, Jamo's right, as are others, that you have to pic and choose when your playing here on CC. My two boys are totally crazy about car stuff but I watch what I'm doing around them too! For instance: http://www.gatsbyonline.com/main.asp...d=676&cat=auto. I was looking at this nice collection of Thunderbirds and their history and then BOOM at the bottom of the page, WOW I must say. BUT WTH!! My youngest son almost caught those pics and who would have thunk it!
Now Jamo, don't get mad at me for posting that link. I'm just making a point. As for 392 COBRA or Lovehamr 's avatar, well this is the ONLY place I can see those with out getting sent to the doghouse! So I'm good! You just have to screen everything BEFORE your kids see it. If your kid has an I Phone, well he or she has probably seen much worse than anything found here! Matt

I’m on a web site about cars. not bouncing boobs, but CARS.
People should be able to go to ClubCobra and not worry about what their kids, grandkids, wife or even themself being offended by “Soft Porn”.
Please reconsider what you use as an avatar.
Thank you.

Do I have this right ? You have a problem with bouncing boobs but you are okay with Jamo's ass crack ?

I saw the dog clip and just thought it was not appropriate for the thread.
As far as avatars go, I always understood an avatar to be something that represented the person. So when I see the boobies ones, well, I think the user is trying to tell me that he is a boob.
And if the avatar is bouncing boobies, I think he is just a nervous boob.
Maybe I am going about this all wrong.

If you go after the avatars it would be a slippery slope to analyze every photo in the gallery. If you hit refresh a couple of times, you're going to see something that may not be appropriate for kids. Simple...keep kids off the site.
Banning bouncing boob avatars is just un-American.

Obscuring a number plate
Not sure if this is well known. I was playing round with a video clip I found on You Tube the other day with the intention of making an animated avatar. The clip was of a cobra being naughty......well just doing the things a cobra does, as they do.
In the You tube clip the number plates (tags) had the obligitory pixilation/screening in place. When I put the clip into a video editor I was surprised to discover the pixilation gone with the rego numbers in full view.
Sooooh..........probably worth considering how you edit the number plate out if you are going to upload some pics or video.

There's at least a couple things that I find far far more objectionable on this Forum, besides Patrick's dual roll bars, HVAC foam and electrician's tape, of course. But I do an excellent job of ignoring it.
As Jamo said, "user preferences" does wonders.

Computerworks: Offensive and repulsive aviatars
Computerworks: In answer to your request you can't receive any more private messages as your mailbox is full. I suspect you are receiving lots of feedback on offensive avatars. What the heck. Let me go public. I find the avatars used by both Jamo with his silly and disgusting picture of the human ass and 392Cobra's bouncing boobs offensive. Clearly something I wouldn't want others to see who might visit this otherwise wonderful website. Can we get them both removed from the site? Surely both these gentlemen could find less offensive avatars to use. Granted neither of these were as disgusting and revolting as the humping dog that got very sick but just the same--disgusting enough to warrant removal from the site.

Okay, I just had to go look- and look, and look, and look, over and over and over again. One of those might become my new wallpaper........

Tim...reading's an acquired taste, but give it a try.
As I stated in my first post, in the biggest and boldest letters I could use...go to the user options page and change your setting to exclude the showing of avatars. Everyone has that same ability. It's like changing a channel or turning off rap music.
You have a choice. It's not anybody else's fault if you fail to exercise it.
And by the way, CW created my avatar about the same time you joined here seven years ago. I think I have squatter's rights at this juncture.
Do you need more detailed instructions on how to turn off the avatars? We're here to help.

I, for one, agree about some of these avatars.
My 11 year old son walked in on me while on cc. Sure enough, there was patrickt's avatar. He asked me why some people do that to their Cobra. I wasn't quite ready to have that talk with him just yet.
They grow up so fast.
