Larry,
I'm sure they are worth SOMETHING. Unfortunately, you are a little late as two comprehensive CanAM films were recently made that utilized a sizable portion of home 8mm raw footage. These documentaries were called "Can Am thunder" and " Can Am the Speed Oddysey". The word went out far and wide to the public asking for anything that might be out there.
The Laguna Seca round featured the only Can Am win for Chaparral in the entire series. They were often fast but unreliable. The 1966 season had it's share of these failures, mainly due to malfunctions of the high movable wing. In later years , when they went to the big block chevy powerplant, there were failures with the engines and also the "auto" transaxle.
Try calling http://www.motorsportcollector.com/ and ask for their advice.
Good luck!
