Raceramps Group Buy? Inquire Within
Is there any interest in purchasing some raceramps?
www.raceramps.com
If there's enough interest, then there's a 15% discount available to Club Cobra members. The company is/was advertising on the Bimmer and Corvette forums trying to drum up business.
I'm NOT affiliated with Raceramps.
Patrick, please don't post your two stacks of wooden planks "stapled" together for $2.50.
And yes, I know Walmart sells another brand for $29.95 or whatever.

Reason: Edited for a staright 15% discount if 10 or more sets are sold.

Race Ramps
If the discount is at least 15%, I could be interested.
Any discount on shipping?

I don't think they'll discount shipping. We can get a 15% discount, but we need more people who would commit to purchase.

I have a set of Rhino ramps - http://www.rhinoramps.com/ I'll sell locally only. Used them once and then bought a lift. Come and get them for $25.

I assume a cobra will clear them as I think they are steeper than race ramps?

Curious what the pricing looks like? What part numbers are you interested in?

I'm trying to get a better offer than what's in quotes below, but this is their 1st proposal:
"OK,
Race Ramps is having a Group Buy.
Here is the low-down:
If the combined order total from all participants equals 10 or more sets (excluding Wheel Chalks), we will provide a 15% discount. Please note, we are only running the group buy unti August 29, 2010, and product supply for this offer is limited.
You can see all the Race Ramps products at www.raceramps.com.
The way I am going to work this is to have everyone who wants to order ramps email me what they plan to purchase. Please go to our website www.raceramps.com to determine the part number(s) and quantities. Then email me your intended purchase.
Please email to: rgb@bruteindustries.com.
Please don't provide credit card info or shipping info yet. Just your email/contact info. This is to collect order tallies to determine the final discount % that be offered.
I am going to collect tallies until 12:00 midnight on August 29th. At the end of the tally collection I'll email all of you who responded to let you know the final discount percentage that will be offered. In that email I will prompt you to reply back with a confirmation that you still want to order the product. If so, I will reply back to you with a discount code, and kindly ask you to order from the Race Ramps website using the coupon code. All of your shipping and payment info will collected there.
Please, only respond to the group buy if you are serious about ordering. Because if you bail out at the end it will effect the number of ramps ordered and therefore the discount percentage.
So, let all your buds know this group buy is going down, to ensure there are enough orders to hit the 15% discount."

We will get a 15% discount if we can 10 or more sets sold by 8/29/2010. The date was just extended too. I edited the email from Raceramps above to reflect this new info. They will also give me an email address where you can send them your info. I'm waiting for that now.
Once I get an email address where you can send them what part numbers you would like to buy, they can tell you whether it will qualify for the 15% discount.

RodKnock - you know you don't need to buy raceramps just to change your taillight bulbs, right?

If you are talking the trailer race ramps, I have these but found them $20 cheaper at Speedway motors.
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Race-R...amps,9855.html
if you are talking the ramps for working under your car, disregard this post. Great product either way.

Actually I was looking at one of the body rotisserie-type deals where I can rotate the body to make working underneath the car so much easier by being able to stand up. I guess I should buy a set of tools too, just in case I might need some.

To me, their too expensive for the purpose, but these seem nicely built. I have my cobra pretty low, so I needed ramps to get the car higher for my floor jack to go under. I bought a set on ebay for $60 and bought a two post lift by Danmar called the "MaxJax". Works perfectly for my low ceiling garage and will not do without one now.

I am interested in them. I have been looking at a full tail ramp and this would work better for me. Is there an update on this ?
