CSX9000 Daytona Coupe - anyone have one?
Does anyone know of a CSX9000 in a dealers' hands? I've checked the usual suspects and noone lists one.
I'm doing due diligence vs. the Ford GT.

Dennis Olthoff (in NC) has a roller in his shop. I just saw it over the weekend. I am not sure if it's for sale.
I must say that the car looked pretty sweet; it was aluminum body, light blue paint, with polished aluminum stripes.

You should call Lance Stander directly (CEO of SPF); I am sure he could share any info you'd like on the cars (including specs, price, and availability).

Exactly. Certain things I can check for first though. The general look and feel of the passenger seat being one. The specs say it has regular 3-point seatbelts, and of course, air conditioning. I expect that is the end of the overlap She has more or less bought off on the FGT. If it comes down to serious consideration this time we will fly to test drive (and ride) one before doing anything.
She watched the thing on speed about the FGT vs. Lambo. All I heard was a very loud "yawn". Not much into these beasts.
There are very few detailed pictures of the coupes of any flavor. Does anyone know of any album of interior shots?
I expect that SPF will have one at Barrett Jackson next week and will get more info then.
I expect I could get into a fiberglass Coupe for quite a bit less than a FGT (yes, the aluminum content does concern me). Although I found a private screamin' deal on a Heritage GT.

Good luck with your search Tony. Looks like you and I have the same great taste in automobiles.
Ford GT is leading the 9000 series as my next purchase, unless SA comes through.

I'm at Barrett Jackson, Vegas, this week and stopped by Hillbank/Superformance booth and spent some time with Todd Andrews (remember the name from Roush?) going over it. The one they have there is their original workhorse demo. They outlined the differences between this one and the new ones. I've got an appointment with another dealer to look closer this week. It's a real contender. In some ways I think they may have "citified" it a little too much, but boy it is sure sweet and looks like something that would be comfortable to drive very long distances. The thing the Coupe has over the FGT is that it actually has luggage space.

So, if you could get an aluminum CSX9000 for roughly the same price as a 300 mile Heritage Ford GT (Gulf colors), or a fiberglass CSX9000 with power train for roughly the same price as one of the others which would you choose and why?
The comfort zone on the passenger side seems to be OK... If we get serious about it we'd definitely do some more homework, but the trial fit was reasonable.

Well, I'm not sure about the Gulf colors, but FGT wins hands down every day of the week and twice on Sundays for me. Not even a close call for me, whether it's a fiberglass or aluminum CSX9000.

I would buy the FGT and drive the snot out of it...When you get tired of it, you'll probably be able to sell it for what you paid...Then go out and buy a CSX9000.

When all was said and done, the Ford GT was done. The Heritage car I mentioned back in January was still available so I just bought it. It's getting some mods done right now.
