Those are Ford Autolite inline 4 barrel carbs.....IIRC they were most popular around the time the Boss 302's were running Trans-Am races.

Those are inline Autolite carbs. Those are extremely rare!! I mean only in pics do most people see these! If my memories right they were made to get around some racing rules. Basically Ford's version of Weber carbs and from what I've read they worked pretty well. Most of the time you see just one row of carbs or 4 barrels. This guy has two rows or 8 barrels of fun! What's even more unique is these are for a Fe! These were made originally for the Boss 302. They had a removable cover plate that you could either run two or one carb! I've seen these pics before and I'm just amazed. Pretty incredible stuff and a real conversation piece for sure!

We put a single carb on a BOSS 302 last year.
