Ughhhh, last time I checked out the many YouTube videos that the Kirkhams have posted on the manufacturing process at the former MIG factory in Poland, I definitely recall a bunch of guys hammering the crap out of sheet aluminum into fine art. I don't recall seeing 20 ton presses stamping out fenders, accordingly. Just for the record.
And there's still time to lock in the deal! Woohoo!

The details of how the body is actually made is of less importance than the end result when it comes to an exacting definition of "replica" in my view. Stamped, some hand work, finishing touches to smooth and straighten, etc. The end result should be a body that is incredibly accurate to dimensions, shape and size, comprised of a similiar material as used on the original. For a GS Vette, that would be glass! For a Cobra, aluminum.
I'd have to deduct a few points from the CSX1000 offered by BJ for the Kirkham billet expansion tank. Which begs the question, what other departures from original specs were taken? Suspension bits? Brakes? And of course, I'd have to check it's nut's,,,, and bolt's.

Just to be clear, the car was not offered for sale at BJ. It was on display in the Superformance/Hillbank area but was not on the docket.
I thought the Kirkham tank was a little unorthodox too - they could have come up with one that is correct. I have one on mine too since they had one for a small block. It sure does look nice. I'm going to pull it off this winter and get the milling swirl marks buffed off.

I think retail price maintenance is basically un-American.

Subliminal messaging.
BTW, I have an "original" coolant tank, not some "nouveau riche" Kirkham billet bling-ey coolant tank. I just can't stand them Kirkhams and all their billet bling-ey parts.
Of course, I haven't checked in a couple months, so who knows what's there now.
I think there's less than 8 hours to go until the price increase. Tic toc tic toc.

I wonder - if he hasn't sold any of the 6 in a week at $10K less, how long will he be eating them after the next 8 hours?
Hasn't exactly been a flip...

You know what he could have also done was sell options for, say, $1,000 that would allow the holder to purchase at the lower price for six months, first come first serve of course.

You mean a May 49,900 call? I don't think he would write a naked call. Oh wait-he will still own it so it's hedged, not naked.

Yep, and he could justify it by saying that the option conveyed an "inchoate equitable property right" so the price increase was no longer applicable. I just made that up but it sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

I haven't been keeping up with any of this. Have they announced the price decrease yet?

Original?
Excaliber, the german Shelby "dealers" are even worse.
Worse in a way that they actually don't know better. Recently a car was offered as one out of only three CSX4000 ever with supercharger. The distinction "Shelby" and "60s" was used ignorantly in the ad for potential clients to assume it's a 60s supercharged CSX for €198.500
Well, if I orders 27 today then there will be 30 only with supercharger. And I wonder if Shelby actually has dealers in Gemany, or is they are self appointed because they once learned how to spell Carroll.

There seems to be a problem in Australia as well, what with the recent sale of a CSX4000 for $700,000 (seven hundred thousand) down under. You know, one of the "geunine" Shelby's....

"Dealer"
I actually got so annoyed with this ad in Germany that I translated the main parts (and THIS is giving the whole Shelby enterprise AND Superformance a bad, ignorant and unprofessional name in Europa - since years):
"Original Shelby Cobra with CSX4000 VIN aluminum body and supercharger...!! This car is considered to be the ultimate investment featuring meticulously maintained condition (413km on th clock...).
There were only 3 supercherged Cobras built by Carroll Shelby worldwide.
Original Shelby 427FE aluminum race-engine with supercharger and more than 725Hp...
Original Shelby VIN plate. This car is an absolute rarity signed by Carroll Shelby...
Since 2008 ist the company CAR the sole exclusive Shelby and Superformance dealer for Europe...."
