Default Great Video From Road Atlanta!!

Hey guys check this one out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBRPy8n2L3E. This car belongs to a good friend of mine, Tim Holland, and it's just awesome. Although, it's a 66 Mustang Fastback the great Ford power is one you will love! It's great in car footage and the other drivers have just got to be pissed off! Enjoy, Matt

I would love to see the Mustang in-car camera. He had his hands full and doing a wonderful job keeping the German 'wundercars' at bay with his 45 year old American sedan. If they didn't pass him in the corners they knew they wouldn't catch in the straights.
Great video, talented driver and killer motor !

Matt,

I'm curious what suspension and tires Tim has. Keeping up with the Porsche's in the corners is quite a task. The straights is a no brainier. Fun video. Couple of "near misses".

Enjoyed that! Some good fender to fender action at the beginning. Tim was drivin' the wheels off of that Mustang.

Very cool video ! The Mustang just pulls away in the straights and is very well driven, especially considering the likely lower braking and cornering limits. Wonder if the pass at the end stuck or if the Mustang was able to pull away ?

And that V8 sounds soooo good

Yep, Tim drives the tires off his cars! I think his Green 66 coupe is faster though. A friend of mine sent this to me so I don't know what event this was. I had a similar experience with a 70 Boss 302 Trans Am car. I was the crew chief for the car and went to test the car at a Porsche club day at Road Atlanta. Gene Felton was driving and no body would let him out onto the grid and then tried to block him on the warm up lap! He got so pissed he passed about 22 cars before the next time around! These were all 911 and a couple of newer Carrera's. We had another race with some 911's and Gene passed a Porsche in a really tight corner. This was in the 66 Shelby we had then and all the Porsche guy kept saying was "but your in a Mustang!". Over and over that's all he said, he just couldn't believe an old Mustang could be driven like that! Great memories!!

Fantastic video! Just loved seeing that old Mustange kick that Porsche's ass!! I'm confident that he repassed it on the next straight. He clearly had greater horsepower but the fact that it out handled the Porsche was really impressive.
