The one thing that bugs me about the Kirkham dash is that they put the dropped center part in the wrong place. On an original, the dropped center section isn't actually centered but rather offset towards the driver. Just bugs me, causes the gauges to be placed wrong and seems out of line with Kirkhams accuracy!

You are spot on Larry. On LHD drive cars, the drop is offset to the left and on RHD COB cars, the drop is offset to the right. Handbrake stays in the same location on the right side of the tunnel for both.
Cheers

Thanks Bill. I've been away for a while and looking at yours. Stay on the gas! This isn't like ordering a pizza. There are relatively plenty of guys who can stroke a check but can't buy the "DO" of their own handiwork. Your car is gonna be sweet, and you'll know who got it done.

Thanks Jim. I've finally turned the corner. All fab work is complete. Chassis goes to the powder coater Friday. After that, it's final assembly time

This skin will go on the underside of the hood, to keep it from vibrating like a tonneau cover... similar to the underside of an OEM hood. Steel tube for this was too heavy. This will be glued in and finished off. Still being figured out... the wood section in front of the footbox may be done with carbon or aluminum.

In case you're wondering... stuff like this is why this build is taking so long. I'm in the black BRZ. Good times running around with my buddies on tracks all over the Southeast.

I had the pleasure of seeing this car in person at Mr. Bruce's shop last week while there picking up my Lemans hardtop. Very nice workmanship, that's going to be a great car!

Now I can report back to my idiot buddies with third party proof that the car is in fact, NOT in Nigeria. They mock and they mock. "Hey Jimmy Mac, I think I read about your "Cobra" being owned by a Saudi Prince, it's true, it does exist!" Ha Ha Ha... real funny these guys are. One day I'll show them... I'll show them all.

It's happening. Heading north tomorrow for a track event this weekend at PittRace with Chin. Then on to Bruce's place Monday morning to pickup the car.
