No word from Fran or Bob Lacey since last week.
Bob said last week that he's working on it. I have a feeling he would really like to make a run. I think you'd agree that it would be a nice feather in their cap if they did.

Now you're just being a pest.
Wasn't the last news from Fran, via Cobra Pack, that Fran's phone was ringing off the hook?

Re: Lacey: As Jamo says -"assolutely". You didn't express this guarded optimism about him previously..

Hmmmm...Was it Bob's gaurded optimism or my mock pride?
Maybe I'm just nudging him so he'll feel obligated
The call I'm referring to is when Bob called me back last week. He was in the middle of his fact finding and had....an air about him. Could be all in my head. In fact, probably was.
Don't ask me why but I'm still optimistic.

I'm going to do my best imitation of Patrick and say that Sisyhus had more luck than you or us.
Although it's just hope, our best bet may be Fran. But at this point I think we're just using up Brent's server space for no good reason.

Rodknock,
Are you saying my actions would even put Elpis to the test?
Keep hope alive! Keep hope alive!

What I'm saying is that you would have had higher probability of picking Kentucky, UConn, VCU and Butler for the Final Four, before the tournament started, than ultimately getting these magnesium wheels made.

This thread now has 30 pages of air.
I wish the NOS magnesium Cobra II wheel hoarders would come out of the woodwork and offer up a set or two already. I would already have a set, but not for the fact that some ERA owners decided to machine their mag wheels and ruin them for MOI'.

If you would just machine your hubs to match the ERA specs then you'd be all set.

Might as well change out the round tube frame for ERA's boxed version while I'm at it. In fact, adding a 2nd roll bar to give my car some symmetry sounds awesome too. And, and, and.......painting it beige. oooh yeah!

Knockers-Just think how light my wheels got from me polishing them all these years.
I can hear them appreciating now...

That sounds like a euphemism for something else.
Alright, another weekly update, another "nothing new" post by Rodney. Great. Let's move on. I think I'm going to pull my version of Jeffy and Fullchat289 and just buy some Trigos and have them powdercoated to look like magnesium. That way, I don't have to polish them and I can just tell folks that they're real and/or original, not replicas.

Ok, ok. I guess the writing is on the wall.
Maybe we could morph this into another thread.
Check out my new warning light for my dash...I got it from patrickt.com
Naw. I'm too irrepressible.
After all, I graduated mag cum laude.

Great-and then you can jump onto the 'Spats' thread after that. Delimma: velcro?, stick-on?, rivets?
The K'Bros will be handing out strychnine tablets to the shop guys and crew in Poland...

And the obvious, magnesium rivets. Yes. I went there.

But I'll make them look really authentic, but when I have to send my updated info for input into next SAAC World Registry, I'll be sure to disclose the fact that they're not original magnesium Halibrands, but powdercoated Trigos.
Sheesh, you would think I'm installing one of those modernistic gray or red interiors and installing 17" rims with those spinning hubs or something.

In response to ERA Chas' question on another thread...
I'm expecting a reply from Bob today or tomorrow and I left a message with Fran yesterday.
What was I thinking? I could have really gotten Rodknock with some April Fools mags
