For fear of Chas' further wrath, I'd better not get a 4th set of wheels for my car. He might ridicule me more and my poor self esteem just can't take any more hits.

I just may throw my hat in the ring and order a set on purely speculative purposes. Someone will want a full set down the road, and unobtainium has its price.

Did you say unobtanium? I'll need to know how many ounces you will be needing before I fire up the smelter.

I've conducted group buys before (on other forums). The moment you try to wind down the process, 10 others jump in and want the same thing (word eventually gets out). That's why I'm starting to believe that this particular effort has some teeth to it, and I might as well speculate. Better to have 60 (80?) or so pounds of finely molded magnesium stored in my garage rafters than a stale pile of greenbacks sitting at some too-big-to-fail institution paying me crumbs. Plus it's more fun that way and you only live once.

No matter how trite, hackneyed, non-productive, masturbatory, irritating or wrath-filled it is, you've got to admit it's more stimulating than the endless carp on the homepage lately.
Even the Village Idiot has ceased looking for people to denigrate and inflame...

Wha? Huh? I thought you were WAY too smart to say something like that.
We're all gums at this point. We're looking into dentures at this point. The teeth have all been worn down.

Until I see a fat lady with horns enter the stage, the possibility is still on.

Only if the haberdasher has reopened...
Last I saw was Kress' $4400 per set ransom given 25 sets. Rodney may remember better.
You could get a 400+ CFM set of BlueThunder heads, save 44 pounds too (like the wheels would) and find 75HP for that $$$...

AC, just remember that magnesium never sleeps. You would have to pack them in an airtight container or bag, but first spray them down with Gibbs Brand protectant.
Fran's price was $4,000 for a set, if ordered on or before March 1, 2011. And $4,400 after that date. I wonder if Fran would do them faster if $5,000 per set was the set price?
As for the Blue Thunder heads, they have raised exhaust ports and your headers and exhaust system would need some "tweaking." So you didn't add that cost into your calculations.

I think Patrick is on Spring Break. You would think he has every Internet device known to mankind. In fact, I think he said that some time back.
I think we should hit Darren up for 4 sets. He has two Kirkhams and both need two sets of shoes each. At least.

Are you saying what I think you're saying? +1 for ACademic
No one could call you AC anemic with an act of bravery like that. I'll even supply the polybags and dessicant packets.
Oh, baby. Here we go again!
I'm getting my second wind.
