All done and ready for the consumer. Of course, these were approximations over the phone with M&A. Please don't hold me liable, if my facts and figures are wrong.
Looking over my notes, I believe M&A said $10,000-$12,000 for the two molds, not $10,000.
I'm no expert.

At the end of the day, none of us are. But at least directionally we are thinking alike. For 3x my "investment" I could literally own the keys to the factory.

If my math is right, then that's 7 sets confirmed.
Well, Halibrand will probably make them again someday. We'll just have to wait.

I feel for you pal after all your effort. That's asking for a slap from Kress if you tell him you want 7 sets. Or the price goes up another $2000 / set.
I'm negatively surprised by no response from Lacey, pro or con.

Call with Fran
I spoke with Fran and gave him our list.
He was crunching numbers.
He's making his own final outreach to a customer who may want multiple sets.
We're that close.
Anyways, he's calling back soon.
Don't know yet whether the Macallan will be dipped into or emptied tonight.

Sheeesh (quiet)! The plan is to just barely get enough volume to cross the finish-line. Then that makes my set all the more valuable.

Doug needs these wheels and I'll tell ya what.....we need to get to the finish line. I have a feeling that even at 10 sets, we're "a bit" short.

Yup yup. Some of those alum CSXers go to lots of expense to make their cars accurate.
How could you spend so much $$$ on an alum CSX and NOT have $4k mags? That price is not out of line by ANY means on a car like that. Not to mention some exquisite KMP's! I guess I should stop. The soap box is getting wobbly.
BTW, both SA and Kirkham know about...... The Thread That Wouldn't Die
Still waiting for Fran. I got my hand the plug and ready to pull (if Ron and Jamo don't beat me to it)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fran called. We're a GO on the MAGNESIUM WHEELS!!!
He got the supplier to accept a "half order" for a 10% increase.
That's $1,100 per wheel or $4,400 per set.
Six pin. Adapters are available from other companies.
Fran can do ANY backspacing. Measure yours!! Be certain of them, front and back. Measure again. Fran needs this info from you.
Available in "All natural" or "Gold Centers".
50% deposit required. Fran will start when he gets ALL the deposits.
Wheels will say "COBRA II" and the measurement that applies, "15x7.5" for example. No HALIBRAND name (for obvious reasons).
Contact Fran NOW!!! (412) 441-5750. Operators are standing by.
It's time to put our money where our mouths are!
Contact Fran NOW!!! (412) 441-5750
The ride won't be over until the boxes arrive but hey...major hurdle jumped!!!

How much???
Hi gents,
I've looked thru this thread and must have missed it...
How much weight are we talking about saving per corner vs a standard set of trigos?
& is the confirmed price $4k(usd)?
Many thx,
Another prospective purchaser.

Come on now. Stop the April Fools jokes.
Questions, which you may or may not be able to answer.
1. When you say "gold center", is that Dow 7/dichromate or its modern equivalent being applied to the wheel?
2. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that the wheels will have "Cobra II", and the sizing, embossed on the wheels, but the "Cobra II" isn't trademarked?
3. Is the supplier/manufacturer/foundry M&A Castings?

Expensive? Yes. Reliable source? Yes.
Shipping is estimated at $30 EA, UPS.
Fran needs a 50% deposit to start.
He would like to run 50 sets.
If you want a set, call him. 412-441-5750.
He intends to collect deposits before having a firm manufacturing date. Just so you know.
3 month lead time.

Fran's consistent. Remember, the mention of $1,000 per wheel was a "pre-order" price. We lost that, but the rest is the same.
Rodknock - I'll find out about M&A and COBRA II. You know, you can call him too. You need to get his address and mail that check in!
