To each his own - but I wouldn't be doing it. I would rather be doing the
country roads at a reasonable speed (subject to interpretation) than burning
up tires in a parking lot. Don't have a CSX but the Kirkham does just fine.

Would I do it with my car? Probably not. To me it's not worth the wear and tear on the vehicle.

If someone chooses to do it with theirs, it's their choice and I hope they enjoy it.

Then you have individuals like in this clip.

They left out the part where he said "hold my beer and watch this..."

I thought it was childish. It's not like that is the only car that can do it. Any mildly high performance car can do it. Nothing special about it, just immature. It is the "synchronized swimming" of motorsports.

It is the kind of thing you would see some pimply faced 16 year old do with his first car.

I believe that once the tires have broken loose, the stresses on the drivetrain are next to nothing. Spirited driving will apply more stresses to everything.

It's like deliberately picking your nose in front of the whole family at the Christmas party. It doesn't hurt anything, but why do it.

Note to self:
When CSX2521 goes up for sale, do your 'due diligence' on said vehicle.

Burnouts on a vintage Cobra? I think I'm starting my bucket list.

My oldest son, after watching the video and then learning that the car might be worth north of $500K, simply said "Why not? More power to him and if he can afford to repair it, what's the big deal?"

Oh, from the mouths of babes.
