Thanks for the response. There's a lot of good points made here and more for you to consider. The price your asking is pretty steep. You can buy a brand new Genesis block for not too much more than that. Also, Pond blocks are in that same ballpark too. The service blocks are not bad but they don't have the "numbers" some have to have. I don't need all that stuff but still it's a tough buy at that price. Now, 10 years ago you could have gotten that price all day long as they're were no other options. Plus, other than just the few conversations here, it's hard to send money like that to just an individual and not a business. Truthfully I'll send you an offer for your consideration and see what you think. I would still have many hours of cleaning all the rust and scale off the block too. Like I said before I'm going Friday to look at 5 427's that are complete and I believe he wants 5K to 6K each, 100% complete (block, rods, heads, intake, front covers, oil pans, even headers, standard bore). So the economy has hit even our hobbies too. Best of luck. Matt
