Default FE/Lakewood/TKO600 throwout bearing?

I have an FE, Lakewood 15210, and TKO600 (1-1/8" 26 spline), with a D0TZ-7515A clutch fork.

Which replacement throwout bearing is the correct one?

I tried a Federal Mogul FB-1625-C. It works, but it seems like the distance between the forks is slightly wider than the machined flats on the throwout bearing holder and allows the holder to rotate slightly. It might be OK, but I would rather find one that fits more closely.

Anyone know the correct bearing?

Thanks,
Rodger

You can also use a McLeod #16031.

Smile Throw out bearing

Hi Roger,
Without measuring the forks I can't tell if you have a 1 3/8" pressure plate. Do you have a 3 finger long or diaphram? If so you could use a large 1 3/8" fork and bearing. With those I make a press-in sleeve to fit a TKO or small input Top Loader.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply, but you lost me. What should I measure to determine the 1-3/8" dimension? I have a Centerforce diaphragm pressure plate.

Rodger,

Have you had this combination running before or is this a fresh new build?

You are using a correct clutch fork and any of those throw out bearings should work fine.

I think what Mike was wanting to know was whether or not the clutch kit was designed for a big input Toploader or not, as Centerforce makes 11.5/12" diaphragm kits for that application.

Hi Brent,

My TKO has the small input shaft.

It's been running....I'm replacing a noisy TO bearing. The original TO bearing appears to be the Federal Mogul/BCA 614038 suggested above. (I also found that one of the little retaining springs was broken and in the bottom of the bellhousing.)

I was told the Federal Mogul FB-1625-C was a good replacement. When I compared the two, they are somewhat different in the way the fork attaches, so I wasn't sure if it was correct, or if there was a better one to use.

Thanks for letting me know that any of the bearings discussed will work.

Rodger
