Okey dokey...enough about immigration issues. As for getting out to drive, we had a little break in the rainstorms last weekend, so I took HER out for a quick run into the mouth of Kings Canyon, about 10 minutes from home.
I hate Washington state! All it does here is rain. Today it mixed it up and snowed. Its good to see that someone can enjoy their rides.
Glad to know I'm not the only person that lives here and hates it. This place is a festering sh!t hole. On the day I retire, I will be out of this place for good by the time the sun sets that day.
We don't like the cold so we headed to Riverview, Florida for this winter. This morning it was 34 degrees in Nampa, Idaho and 27 degrees in Riverview. The up side to this story is the high in Idaho will be 37 and in Riverview will be in the 60's. We'll get the Cobra out and go to dinner today.
Lest you think that I am a complainer, today in Riverview; high 71 low56, New Years day 75 & 60 . Just had to post that for those of you from Washington that seem to be thinking of moving.
Retire and spend the winter somewhere warm and return home for the summers.
PS taking the Cobra out on New Years day, so long as it doesn't get to hot.
Today it's 50 degrees with 62% humidity. Tomorrow I think it will get into the 60's.

Winter drive
Hey Jamo,
Nice cruise along the lower Kings with your turnaround at Doyal's! Was hoping your turnaround was just up the road to Munk's lodge or should say used to be. 209
Hero HD...talked about on other threads lately. A small, dedicated sports video camera with shock protection, stability control, a waterproof enclosure and various mounting alternatives...this was using the rollbar mount.
Wow, I need to move to California!! The only time you will see the road that empty in or around Houston is when there is a Hurricane taking place. Houston is truely a sheethole, the only positive is jobs, the low cost of living and the castle doctrine.

Jamo: How is your center mirror mounted?
Jamo: Nice film work on the ride, I felt like I was right there with you for it. I like the center mirror mount your using. It looks like the mirror is clamped on to the the edge of the dash? Did yiou fabricate a mount for it? Anyway you could share with us how you rigged up the mount?
Brent...I used the vented back. The sealed back just muffles everything (wind as well as engine noises).
Tim...thanks. It's a standard Kirkham mount...two screws into the body/support tube holding a flat piece of aluminum stock out and over the edge of the body (towards the rear). A thin piece of hard rubber between the body and the stock provides shock absorption.
The mirror is a convex Raydyot (hard to find the convex here in the states) that came with the knarled nut piece from Motorsports International that may or may not still be in business down in El Cajon. It is slightly tinted (perfect for bright sunshine or headlights), and the convex feature negates the slight amount of vibration that comes through.
