Sb-100
Went down to the DMV today around 2:30 and walked out with SB-100 #19.
Kind of surprised!! I thought I’d get # 3 or 4.

Wow, the sequence #s are going slow this year. Figured they would be up to 200 hundred by then. I got #489 last year in November. I Did CHP last Thursday. Lamp and Brake today and Bar on this coming Thursday. When are you going to start the process? Which DMV office did you go to? Were they knowledgeable and helpful?

Hey Tom,
I went to the Hollister DMV, the lady there said she does about 1 a year. Last year when I did one it was her first one.(different gal) I was out of there in 1 hour today.
I was hoping to hit the CHP next week, but ran into a BIG!! Problems with my rear-end. Superformance changed the rear-ends, and they don’t line up!! I have 8degres on my drive shaft.
If you know anybody that has built a new Superformance with a ZF rear-end let me know.
Thanks ,John

Don't know why, but they don't issue the numbers in sequence. It's possible to get some random high number, and be one of the first issued.

Hey Doug,
Yea, about 5 days now. I wanted to get the rings seated before the tune up. I’ve got about 250 miles on the car. These webers are starting to get to me. Tomorrow I’m going to go back to square one and start over with the adjusting.

Congratulations Tom! Great to hear you're back on the road again. I know you did a ton of work to complete the conversion.
I'm hoping to make a quick run down to the 41st ave cars and coffee type get together (at Starbucks near Best Buy) early Sat morning. Let me know if you're interested.

There sure wasn't the big discussions about SB100 this year like there has been in previous December's. I guess not too many new cars getting completed in this economy.

I finished my CA registration last week. Got the CHP, Brake light and BAR done the same day. She's street legal now. Last thing is waiting for the title from Sacramento.

True. With SB-100 having years where they 'sell out' in hours and other years where numbers are left all year, well, that magical number 500 will never go up. Makes sense actually. I'll be extremely happy if things remain the same.
Congrats SMOKNAC

I'm new here and saw the gathering on 41st ave next Saturday.
I would like to get to meet some of the owners. I live on the Monterey Peninsula and 41st ave is close enough to try and make it. Could youlet me know the time and place you meet & I'll try to make it.

Scott,
Yea, I was hoping someone would say lets meet at Alices. And then I would come on and say “I‘d like to go, I haven’t been out in a couple of weeks.” But no, you and Doug caught me in a post. It’s only been 171 weeks.

Tom - Hope you can make it.
Glenn - Cars usually roll in between 7:30 and 8:00 and people stay until around 9:30.

Are you going to make it Doug? If so, I could put some effort into making it over. I am getting tired of switching the battery tender between the cobra, harley and dirt bike!!
171 weeks OMG!! I couldn't do it.

Scott - I'm planning on it. I've got to be in downtown Santa Cruz at 9:30, so I may only be able to stay for an hour or so.
