Default Pics? Black with DARK Blue stripes anyone?

A friend is looking at 3-4 different color combos to paint on more of a custom Cobra build, something other than the standard themes. One combo we can't seem to find decent reference photos for is:

Black base with DARK Blue Stripes.

Metalic or solid or 50% or Ghost stripes okay too, just trying to get some ideas... we've seen just a few with light blue, just no darker or dark electric blue type stripe combos on a black car; i.e. going for more of the subdued type of stripe look with less contrast - opposite to what White stripes is up against dark base colors; just as another idea. Anyone ever tried this one before? Thanks in advance for any replies or forwards to others who have.

decooney,
I was being sarcastic.

Black with no stripe is a bad axx Cobra.

I do love the black with red stripe.

I may have a pic of a black Cobra with ghost stripe that looked great. You can not see the stripe till you get close.

I check my files and post any pics I find.

Yeah, I just asked because there are Black Cobras with matte black (flat) stripes and they look nice too. We've seen two already in our area. And, as for solid Black Cobras, I've had one of those personally, and we've got plenty of 'em in our local metro area (10 or more), and others in Black including Black with Red stripes too; both solid Red and Ghost Red stripes, and Ghost Gold on Black; which all look neat too. I think every other solid and metallic mainstream color combination exists in our local area done over and over many times. i.e. one of the reasons to try something different, if we can get the right Blue shade stripe mated to Jet Black base color.

Really just looking for Black with Dark BLUE stripes.

I have Porsche Blue with Viper Steel Grey stripe. Check out my day of purchase photo gallery. You have to view all galleries to see the day of purchase gallery. But tell me why do they use Porsche and Viper names for paint on a Cobra?

Typically for reference of non-original Cobra colors used on other familiar vintage cars or more modern cars and colors people are very familiar with. i.e. Viper Red or Corvette Torch Red, or Porsche Guards Red, or Viper Blue or BMW Maritus Blue, etc. Many times folks own or see these other popular cars regularly on the road and wonder what they might look like on a Cobra! You know.... one day your are at a stoplight and you look over and see a car and color your like, and say to yourself, "hey, that Blue color on that Viper might be a neat color to try..." Happens just like that I would guess... and nobody wants to really tell you the color they like and picked came on a 2001 Chevy Truck - hahahaha!

Duane..its funny you mention the 2001 chevy. trucks....the 2010 chevy suburbans have an awesome dark blue metalic that would look real good against a solid black or a black with just a touch of blue metal flake over it.....and the color i chose for my car is from an Acura...factory colors are easier to fix if something happens to your paint job (like rocks)...

Coach wanted something a little different with his Red Cobra. So he had black accent stripes add. There are tape and can be removed.

Lots of late model Shelby GT500 with black car and flat black stripes which would give you a good idea. I know that look awesome not sure about dark blue unless it was the midnight blue which is almost black...
