Smile 1965 289 HP C5AE-E blocks

I ran across 4 of these blocks in my friends shop today. They are 1965-1968 289 HP blocks. All are used but in good condition. What are these blocks worth? This would be the correct block for a FIA cobra, correct? Any info & help would be appreciated. Starting now to sort thru the SBF stuff so I may have some of the C5 HP heads also.

BBQ,
Since the 289 hipos and the "std" engines used the same blocks, are you sure the ones you saw are true HP blocks? The link below will take you to a page that shows some of the differences between the hipo and regular 289s

I guess I'll need to go back and check the main caps and see if the blocks have the front cam main oil galleries threaded plugs. I'm almost sure they did, but I'll need to check again. Also found some BBF Lakewood bellhousings and 5 or 6 Stewart Warner 240A elect fuel pumps. pumps appear to be working as I put power to them and had them wet started to a gas can so they didn't dry pump and poss ruin something. What would these be worth also? Just way too much to go thru for a non ford guy. I'm learning something new every day I go out there and research what is there.

Hi Bob: Boy, am I figuring that out. Mopar muscle parts are easy compared to these Ford parts. 1 step forward and 2 steps back at times. Just when I think I have the parts sorted out, a whole new issue pops up (meaning the SBF stuff) I had no idea that vintage good 289 HP parts were valueable. I only focused on Boss 302 and 351C possibilities. Hope you're doing well in sunny Calif. The other Bob Q.

I have been asked by several members to post a picture of the fuel pumps. I will get that done this week if I can figure out how to do it.

Got pictures of the pumps but now don't know how to attach them to the thread to let you see them. Can anyone help me with this? Total of 5 good pumps and 2 that don't work or missing parts so I'll consider those cores. 1-505-899-7010 or cell 1-505-850-2742.

Looks like a newly machined "good" 289 block is none the less a hypo at least in breed. Add Webers, dual point distributor, Aviad, hi flow oil pump, hi flow water pump and headers you are ahead of the game anyway.

BBQ,
Click on the camera under your name and it will take you to your photo gallery. In the upper right portion of that page there is a link to upload pictures. Click on that and you can upload the pics to your gallery where we can see them. BTW, if your pumps have the FOMOCO filter canister on them they can still be a regular or hipo pump. The key is the number stamped on the flange.

Went and looked at the blocks again. confirmed 2 are the Hipo blocks with the extenal weight on the crankshaft between the block and crankshaft gear. Both blocks have the bigger main caps and the larger rod bolts on the rods. I will now be going thru all the 289 heads to see if there are any Hipo heads as I've found these are different then normal 289 heads also. Any idea what a used and rebuildable short block is worth. both blocks appear to be std bore but will need to be cleaned up/bored. Thanks for any info and help.

All fuel pumps sold. Still have 2 explode proof FE bellhousings. 1 is a Lakewood and painted red and the other is black. I don't know if the black one is a quick time bellhousing. no stickers on the bellhousing.
