Can someone clarify:
Thought that an ET of 11.49 and lower required specific safety features, such as full roll cage, 4 or 5 point seat belts, driveshaft loop, fire suit, rated helmet etc., etc., ? Or, only applies to sanctioned events, not private use of the track.
If so, might be only one run with track management banning any further runs if the ET is lower than 11.49 ?

Hi Don. At least at the track I'm renting, which is a place that runs sanctioned events, I'm ok so long as I don't drop below 10 seconds.

I've rented a couple of top NHRA tracks, and it's run what you brung, any speed, any time, any safety equipment. You rented it, you signed the waiver, the track is yours. Of course it would be foolish not to be prudent with safety.

Blitz insists the race is real, and I will confirm he purchased my car and owns such 65 Kirk cobra. If he drives the car without a mental let down, engine trans or rear end failure he has an excellent chance of winning one race...However, there are wagers the bet will not happen, so let this post help make it happen. As soon as The Bet **** receives pre pay deposit of film cost offset, confirm of exact date I will post such...

If the Kirkham driver can't get it to hook and he loses, he will be blasted for being a bad driver.
If the Ferrari driver can't utilize the launch control effectively, he will be blasted for not having the ability to figure out a drive-by-wire modern day hot rod.
They should just hire The Stig and let him decide. Then we can all watch the results on Top Gear.
The commentary here has run the entire spectrum from informative to hilarious to assinine. Which is why we keep coming back for more.
