Need transportation assistance...
Hello all.
I am looking for someone with the ability to transfer the cobra for me. I live in Kalamazoo Michigan, but I have been activated to Active Duty with the Army and I am now down at Ft. Benning Georgia.
I do not have a covered car trailer and was wondering if anyone can help me hire/find someone to help get the cobra down to GA. It's about a 900 mile trip. If anyone can assist I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Dan

Hey Dan, might as well take it for the climate change, that works out good for you. We have used both the outfits Dwight mentions. They are well set up and very professional.

I used to work for Ford's SVT group and we used these guys all the time to move cars, including everything from production cars, Ford GT's and million $$$ prototypes:

There is no doubt Reliable will get it there safe and sound.
If you want a 100% personalized transport you might want to check with these guys:

Rich Brooks, the owner is a fantastic guy and is highly regarded within the Ford GT community. They may be able to transport your car for you on a dedicated run south, or they may be head south to working on a GT owner's car and can take your car along for the ride.

Reliable delivered my Shelby GTs from Vegas to Colorado. I've used Intercity for all Cobra shipments. Both use independent drivers that contract with their carriers' label. They own the tractor and the trailer is leased but they are exclusive. The Intercity drivers were experienced gearheads themselves and deliver cars worth a lot more than ours. When the Cobra came back from Livonia there was a 300SL Gullwing on the same trailer.

Another vote for Reliable :
http://www.reliable-carriers.com/default.cfm
I have used them with good results .
Ya just have to make sure they can give you a firm pick up and delivery timing window - sometimes your car is waiting until they have a full load . They were a couple weeks off moving a friends Cobra from Detroit to Virginia, as they said " we have nothing else going that way at the moment ".
Confirming Slider 701s comment : I too was with Ford and Reliable was often used by the Detroit 3 for specialty car hauling . Bill

I heard about this site, uship.com. Shippers bid on transporting your car. You can accept any bid and users review their experience.

+1 for Reliable; great service and reasonable fee.
I was stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA many years ago; you'll love the summer weather, yeah, right!

Have used InterCity Lines 3X, last transport move was from CT to IL
http://www.intercitylines.com/
Excellent service, nothing pro or con on other companies, just don't have personal experience, no reason to change.
