Just my opinion.

Thanks Tru. Failing that I suppose the driver could always carry a .38 snubbie in his pants pocket.

Way less radical, here's the LeMans top.

Buzz I really like your art work , you seem to have a very good talent. Maybe you should compile your pictures into a coffee table style book. I'm sure it would be a great seller.

I could imagine the pipes on a V-12 with no mufflers rippin and snortin at idle.

Great concept!

Quick poll. Everyone wants to see someone else build one of these (great renditions, Buzz). But I wonder how many of you would actually spend the money to own one? Looking at them (appreciation for the artistry) and actually owning ($$$) and driving them are two different ends.

That's absolutely true AC; and is also the case with most show/concept/theme vehicles. More art and showcase than practical transportation, they are designed and built more for stimulating the imagination and emotions than for selling to the masses. Thousands go to car shows and appreciate the radical rods and customs, but very, very few would actually buy one and drive it home.

To a degree, the same could be said for even our "basic" Cobras themselves. They draw loads of attention and everyone out there has a strong (mostly) positive reaction to them. Many people love Cobras but only a precious few nutcases like us are actually inclined and/or able to live with owning one. I like that about them and to me, that's one of the characteristics that makes them special.
