The Bet update
Nobody has posted anything yet, so I'll start it off:
Tommy made several runs in the 11.3 sec. range
Blitz made just one run @ 10.75, 132 mph
Cobra wins it.

I really felt Tommy was going to take it, based on all that power and torque that Blitz needed to control, but.....
Blitz did a great job off the line, very little wheel spin, had good traction all the way down the track.

That confirms the info Tom K. had...hehehehe.
The attorney in me saw the logic of Tommy being able to pull it off.
The Armenian blood said otherwise.
Congrats to both of these guys and thanks for sharing it here.

Well I knew the engine and the car just a matter of getting it down the track and it looks like Blitz did it. That is a good pass at about 2000 to 2500 ft. I was ask not to say much about the engine and all but with 715HP on tap and a Kirkham with everything dialed in I knew that it should have been the quickest. I would say that Blitz played a pretty good hand of poker on this deal.
Thanks, Keith Craft

Actually, after it was over they made several passes (Dan took Tommy along, etc.), one of them "heads up" side by side, and Tommy turned a 11.64@121.97 to Dan's 10.74@132.98. On both runs, Dan looked like he was "driving to the bank", so to speak, a very controlled launch, rolled into the throttle, shifted well (no power shifting, just good solid shifts), without revving to the moon. On the heads-up run, I figured the Ferarri would get a hole shot, but Dan stayed with him early on then just rolled away for the win.
Good driving, Dan, and Tommy, that's a damned fine car! Take care of it for me!

This is why I don't gamble. I'd lose every time. Congrats for a good run. Can't wait to see the vid. Will there be umbrella girls?

Yeaaahhhh, there was some serious eye candy. Buzz got photos (and video too, I think), so it will get posted soon. In addition, this will surely end up on YouTube. I forgot my camera battery! so, dumbass here doesn't have any really good photos. I tried to attach one of Dan's car with his girlfriend and her friend.

Bravo to both you guys. TommyG: you are a class act. Blitz: thanks for keeping the Cobra legend alive. I look forward to the series.
Jamo, can you tell that knuckle-head that got booted for 2 years that Tommy G really exists but not the outcome of the race.
