So I am gonna get my car back this week, and I am gonna get some seat time on the streets. Can anyone tell me what the best stuff is to soften up goodyear vintage blue streak grooved slick road course tires, Tommy said he was gonna soften up his tires, so i was curious what i should do.

Call roger Krause and find out what he thinks about using any stuff on that particular compound...from your descriptions (and Ernie's), it sounds like you have the "C" tires Krause offers for Cobras...slicks, but with the tread added.

Tom and Dan, have you decided how those of us who want to attend the event can get our names on the list for entry into the track?
Thanks

So sad to ruin such a wonderful view with that yellow car in the background. Some photogs just don't get it, do they?

Ok, all the final arrangements are made. My car is LV. I'm flying out Monday for some testing, back in DC Tuesday, and then the race Wednesday. Hope to see some of you out there.

I guess I get the prize for the least miles traveled (24)? Wait, there's no prize for that!
See everyone there, should be "interesting".

I will not make the race, my business in San Diego was cancelled and I now have to be in the UK same day as the race, this is a bummer since I had really looked forward to the event, however the business does pay the bills.
Tommy and Blitz, its been a great ride and I wish you both well. Drive safe.
Buzz, big favor sir, please take many pictures. Thanks,
My best to all. John AKA, tin-man

Ok, one of the final pre-race updates. My best time in Maryland was 11.22. The density altitude was -1500. Today I ran in LV, with a density altitude of 4443 (humid day). That's a huge difference. My 11.22 in Maryland should equate to 11.8 in LV. I ran an 11.27. One caveat -- I was on an open road that undulated some; on a straight, treated track I should get reasonably faster. Wow.

I'll bet you MPH was slower than Maryland. I told you your 133mph was capable of 10s. That was warm tires on a warm road. Wait until you get to the dragstrip.

Thanks Lou! You are right -- almost 10mph slower. Also, Blitz hasn't practiced in 2 weeks, so at least we know he'll be fresh!!

So Tommy and Dan, what time should we start showing up for the Big Event? Last word I remember was between 1 and 2 for the three races, but will there be some practice runs or...??? BYOB&BBQ, etc.?
