My seats are so uncomfortable !!
The seats that I've got with my kit are sooo wrong. They are made so tight and I'm 5'6",135 pounds, imagine my neighbor try to fit in them,no way.
Also the back is curved so much that there's no lombar support, because of the curve it creates a big gap between my back and the seat, hurts the back.
They have to be re-upholstered for sure,at least the back, there's no way I could drive this car for a long trip. Do you guys know if the frame is easy to manipulate, bent. It has to be straighten up a bit so my back is not so compressed from the side. I'm a small guy and I feel so tight in there, way too cramped. I know they are suppose to be supportive but not like that. My wife also complained she had a sore back after a short drive,I hope it's not going to cost me too much to fix the problem. Anybody had a similar problem.
I don't know who made them, were just supplied with my kit,any ideas how they are constructed before I start ripping them apart, cheers
Michel

Wow...maybe you just need to check into a different type or brand of seats.....
I'm 5' 10" and 250 and my seats are great for a long drive.....
mine are an older set of Midstates seats that came with the kit.....

For longer drives I put a small pillow behind my lower back. Seems to help alot. Jim

Believe me, it's worth every penny to get the seats redone so they are comfortable. For sure if your wife is complaining!
I suffered with mine for about 3 years and should have changed them right off the start!
Just look at all of the posts concerning the uncomfortable seats in many of these manufactures' cars.
Have the upholstery shop set in the foam and then allow you to sit in it before they cover it.
You would think that as cheap as a little foam is, that they would make a little effort to make them more comfortable, but they are car people and not upholsterers!
I would rather have the fundamentals of the car right and be able to tweak the seats for my personal preference.

I had seats made for my car from EZ Boy Interiors, I had him do them in 2 tone leather and add the heated seat module and they are extremely comfortable. I know heated seats sound crazy, but on long rides it really helps. These are also made with the aluminum frame not the fiberglass so there is no worry of it cracking down the line.

If you have a choice of foam when you get them worked on, ask for memory foam.
It makes a big difference, I've been in a Cobra with memory foam seats and it was incredibly supportive and comfortable!
Cheers from Dugly

If the frame doesn't fit you, get rid of it. You could spend a lot of time and money trying to make it better. But, the bottom line is, the frame itself doesn't fit you.
I use a Corbeau Clubman seat. It's easily an 8 hour seat. Very comfortablt, very supportive. I take long drives in this car, and don't have any real complaints about the seats. And I'm a little bigger than you are - 5'9", 200#.

Good seats are worth their weight in gold!
ERA, SAI, CCX and KMS make great seats and long trips are not an issue. I even think Mickmate makes them now?

I will definitly bring them to an upholsterer to get checked when the car is in the paint shop,it sucks that I'll have to spend more money when those were with the kit. I should have returned them when I had a chance but what do you know, first kit car,no experience.
