How long does it take to manufacture one camshaft? Were your instructions given in the insufferable tone that use here on this website? That might explain the delay.

Brent said he wanted the cam nitrided. Richard said they send it out to have that little chore done, so that's probably the reason it's taking a little longer. Only the best for ol' Brent.

Checked on Your Cam this Morning
Brent, I called Richard at Bullet this morning to make sure your cam hasn't fallen through the cracks and he said it should be coming back from the nitriding process in the next day or so. He'll then ship it right out to me. Evidently the nitriding process is more of a deal than I thought. Just wanted you to know that I wasn't "asleep at the wheel."

Well I have to say they are about as nice as can be. I'm not used to dealing with people that nice.

You'll tick them off eventually. Just give it some more time.

Wouldn't it have been easier and faster to just machine from a billet core instead of nitriding? Cost wouldn't have mattered since Patrick is paying for it.
Any luck with getting some Shubeck lifters?

Haven't been looking real hard....
I found out that Comp Cams has some EDM/tool steel lifters as well. That works better since I'm a Comp distributor....
I've been spending quite a bit of time trying to find a direction to point myself in as far as frames/bodies go. It's a rough decision.

An ERA will always look "right" (unless it's beige ). Plus rigid chassis and first class engineering-look for an older project car.

Chas,
I'm looking at basically two different options right now. I'm having to stay with the manufacturers that will let me buy separate components at a time.
I don't take bubble baths in $20's like you guys do....

I excavated this from PAGE 12-so Brent, you realize that by now you could have MADE your own cam from a half-shaft and file.
It's the stigma attached with dealing with your benefactor-even cam nitriders hate him...

I can sense a picture forthcoming with a white dog named Ellie and some gratuitous hand model shots prominently displayed in it.

Every day I wait by the window, with my nose pressed up against the glass, waiting for my friendly UPS man to stop at my door. But each day he just passes me by.
