Jerry, I've been lucky so far...I've only had one Scat crank/rod combo that I had mill the rods down because of insufficient clearance. It was on one of the most common combos too...a 347 SBF.
Very good tip though...I need to sit down and have a Coke/Pepsi with you sometime.
I can't wait to get started on this thing.

Mr. $1,000 Centerforce Clutches and $25 Per LED Tailight Bulbs.
Here we go again. He got both the hands and the dog in a photo again.

The dog looked a little bit worried as Pat had the "shaft lube" in his hands and appeared ready to go...

If we're spending Brent's money, for $2,800 and "little" manipulation of the headers/exhaust, I'd buy some Blue Thunder Stage X heads.
Have I told you about getting some magnesium wheels for your new ride too.

I think the valve size is a little too large for a 390 bore.

If you play your cards right, say 5 promised SFT customer builds, you might get Pat to ante up for some gratuitous Genesis blockage. That'll take care of your tiny bore syndrome.

I'm already thinking about your subsequent build when you determine that the 390 isn't enough for you.

I predict that Moneybags RodKnock will have you building him a cammer in the next year or so. Especially if his portfolio rebounds as expected....

A Cammer would be cool. Ahh yes.
Now that I back from dreaming, Brent, do you plan to build the engine now and then have it ready for this future project? Do you know your timing on the frame and body? Is this a 2011 deal? 2012?

RodKnock, I thought you were going to throw in a set of magnesium rims for Brent, you know along with that pending order....
He'd probably give you a great deal on a cammer next year.

The Cammer won't be this year or next for me, for that matter, neither will the mag wheels.

Rod,
I haven't even made any decisions on the car manufacturer yet. I've been thinking a lot about the engine stuff, just because that's more of my forte'. I'm going to try to get a lot going on the engine this spring/summer as I have time. Right now I have all of my drivetrain/engine orders to keep up with and I'm also trying to get 4 magazine articles written. All of this while trying to not neglect the wife or the cat.
