I did mine in pick up bed liner. Quiet, durable, inexpensive, easy, and cleans up well. I bought a Duplicolor kit when it was on sale.

Bob, will the pickup bed liner adhere to fiberglass or wood? I ask because I believe my replica started its life as a drag racer and the floor of the trunk was cut out so that they could mount the heavy gauge aluminum fuel cell. I need to create something to offer a bit of weather-proofing for the trunk and I am thinking about making a floor with plywood (or OSB). Rather than line the trunk with carpet, I like the idea of the spray on bedliner, it looks nice and is quite durable.

Thanks in advance for whatever advice you can give!

Cheers from Dugly

My car came with prefitted carpeting for cabin and trunk.Contemplated for a long time, only place that has it is trans tunnel and cubby behind seats.Floors and trunk are undercoated, mainly utilitarian and not able to soak up water.Hate that musty smell from anything damp!

Your Cobra autoworks car came with the hole in the trunk. These cars had Mustang flat gas tanks mounted from under the car. The top part of the tank was flat enough to be used as a trunk floor without covering with anything but a pad and the carpeting.

Bed liner will stick really well to any clean dry surface.

It sticks pretty well to anything that's not exactly clean and dry, too. Wear gloves.
