Condon & Skelly Insurance
I talked to Condon & Skelly today about a quote for insuring my SPF. Before I go any further I wanted to know if anyone who is or was insured with them has had good or bad experiences with any claims. Thanks for your input.

I currently use them, though I have not had any claims to date (and hope not to). They were much cheaper than the previous company I used, and seemed to be more customer friendly.

Have had my 65 Fastback insured with them since the mid 90's.......no claims so far and thats a good thing for me........ after 10 years I noticed my premuim went down a fair amount and called to check on it, they told me after 10 years with no claims I was getting a 10% discount and they also did away with my deductables..............
Hopefully I'll never have to make a claim, but if I do, I'll cross that bridge when I get there......I know of one guy that has been insured by them longer than I have and has made 2 claims in the last ten years or so and was very pleased with the way his claims were handled.......

condon & skelly
Hi,
I just got off the phone with Condon & Skelly. They told me that they insure but that the vehicles can only be used to drive to & from car shows and club functions. I told her i drove to big sur on occasion for an espresso or capucino or lunch. she told me that would be outside the guidlines of their coverage.
I use mine for pleasure and do drive around and not always to a show or club function.
I'd hate to be insured with them then have them deny a claim on the basis of when or where I was driving.
Glenn

Hello Zoom this and Pumpkin,
From what I understand Condon and Skelly are agents and coverage stipulations depends on your company. I have them through Metlife and mileage is unlimited but it is considered a Sunday driver(?). I want to be able to drive anywhere anytime I want to. Clear as mud? Guess I'd better make sure. 209

Cant drive anywhere but car shows. I would hate them to deny a claim if I drove it on Sunday.

You guys got me a little worried here, I have Condon&Skely.
I just went to there web site and this is whats posted;
Our Usage Requirements
Used primarily for hobby purposes (club functions, shows, events and cruise nights) and occasional leisure drives. Garaging – the vehicle is kept in a fully enclosed locked garage
The occasional leisure drives is the loop hole……

When I said can I drive it up the coast on Sunday, they said that's not covered. That's what this car is for! Enough!

I received a quote from C & S and it was 3 times the cost of Barrett Jackson:
1440 Arrowhead Drive
Maumee, OH 43537
877-545-2522 Toll Free
419-794-4659 Direct and Fax
My current insurance company that insures my business, home, etc could not get close to under writing the Cobra insurance for the price Barrett Jackson quoted. My current agent who is a good friend did review the policy & said the coverage was excellent.

I have a problem with Chubb. They first quoted me 500 per year when they called it a 1965 cobra replica. But when I had them change it to a 2008 SPCNS due to match the current California registration they raised it to 1500 per year. It sounds like the underwriter will not budge and does not understand the registration process in California. Anyone had the same experience? Thanks.

Just called B and J. They said they are not writing new policies on newer cars ten years or less.

I have Chubb- and their rates for a 1965 or 1966 registered/titled car are considerably less than if registered as a 2005, 2009 or whatever. I am sure you will find other companies that do the same thing . Mine is registered as a 1998 Mich Assmbled Vehicle and I got tapped for the higher rate.
They know it is still a replica whether titled as a 65 or 08, but it is their policy. Other states may differ . Bill

Please suggest the best insurance companies with these conditions:
75000 agreed value
2500-5000 miles
I can drive it on weekends, road trips, not just car shows
My daily driver is 27 years old.
thanks

I recommend Heacock. Altho I havent had any claims yet, they insure my 68GT350, 89 Csx-Vnt, and 2010 FFR Daytona, for less than 600 per year. They give a discount if you are a SAAC member.
They have agreed value, 3500 miles per year, and show and leisure driving. Road trips for anything but shows or conventions, might not be covered.
