Default 1st cobra brake down

Great day today so I decided to take out the cobra for a ride. Made it about 2 miles. started from a stop and shifting into 2nd gear when I heard a pop and no peddle tension. Heard something dragging on the ground also. I was able to make it to the side of the road and stopped. Looked under the car and saw the clutch hydralic slave cylinder hanging on the ground. Bolts had to of had backed loose and slave cylinder came off. Had cobra towed to the house. all the slave cylinder internals and rod are gone. I'll have to call BDR on monday to see if they have 1 in stock. Slave cylinder bolts to a mounting plate on the T-5 bellhousing. I'll place lock nuts on it this time as there is room once I bolt the new slave cylinder to the bracket. At least 10 cars stopped to see if I was ok and check out the car while waiting for the tow truck. Even stuck, it still gets lots of lookers. I hope it doesn't take too long to get the new clutch slave cylinder.

Post a pic of the slave you have. I can send you out a new one if it's something we stock.

Jegs and Summit stocks them as well. Sounds like you have the push style, you might even be able to get a rebuild kit for the old one if you can figure out what it is and number.

Jay will be shipping me a complete new slave cylinder kit on monday. Checked Backdraftparts.com and the entire unit is only $49.00. Not worth the trouble or delay in attempting to find a rebuild kit at the price of a complete assy. Hope to have the little lady back on the road by friday. This gives me time also to install the alum cobra tee-pan also while it is on the lift. Hey Jay: any issues with putting on 1 of those Tony Banda cobra alum tee-pans on this. I got the correct front sump pickup when I got the pan. I know I'll have to be careful to install as I hear they don't seal too well at the crank due to the casting condition. Thanks for any advise.
