1st cobra brake down
Great day today so I decided to take out the cobra for a ride. Made it about 2 miles. started from a stop and shifting into 2nd gear when I heard a pop and no peddle tension. Heard something dragging on the ground also. I was able to make it to the side of the road and stopped. Looked under the car and saw the clutch hydralic slave cylinder hanging on the ground. Bolts had to of had backed loose and slave cylinder came off. Had cobra towed to the house. all the slave cylinder internals and rod are gone. I'll have to call BDR on monday to see if they have 1 in stock. Slave cylinder bolts to a mounting plate on the T-5 bellhousing. I'll place lock nuts on it this time as there is room once I bolt the new slave cylinder to the bracket. At least 10 cars stopped to see if I was ok and check out the car while waiting for the tow truck. Even stuck, it still gets lots of lookers. I hope it doesn't take too long to get the new clutch slave cylinder.
