With the Convention only about 2 weeks away, I will be posting last minute News Tips and other info on this thread.

*** Online Pre-Registration for SAAC-36 ENDS on May 15.
Please get your applications in before this date to take advantage of the Member Discount. Online or mailed pre-registrations will not be processed after this date.

You may register at the Convention if you miss this deadline. Registration will be open every day, Thursday thru Sunday.

*** SAAC will take Open Track requests via e-mail after this date, up to May 24.
Send your Open Track request to Howard Pardee. Mail: 65-66registrar@saac.com
This will guarantee that you are placed in a run group; you may complete your paperwork and pay fees at Registration.

*** We will also take requests after this date for Saturday Dinner Tickets.
The Dinner will be a buffet at The Institute in Danville VA. The tickets are going fast, so send your request to Mail: pitcrew@saac.com
Request via e-mail accepted up to May 24.

*** Remember, all items from the advance registration will be available each day at the track. The Registration office will be at the VIR entrance.

*** All SAAC Regional Club Officers and Regional Reps are invited to a Regional Meeting on Saturday at 11:30am in the Drivers Lounge.
Additionally, anyone who would like to become a SAAC Rep or start a Regional Club is urged to attend.

*** Usually, you may hope to see your car appear in the next issue of the Shelby American.
This year, both Mustang Monthly and Grassroots Motorsports will each have photojournalists at the Convention., so shine 'em up and pose for all the magazines.

*** There will be a special area in the Paddock, designated as the "Original Cobra Corral" for CSX2000, 3000 and COB/COX Cobras. We are planning for 20 or more cars to be parked in this area.

*** GT40s will be all over during the weekend; a quick glance at the Vintage Race Roster shows 3 GT40s entered, including P1047!
You'll see at least four of the new, GT40 MK IV continuation cars on display, both in the Paddock and at the Friday Night Social.

*** We are also seeing 4 1965 GT350 R models and an original 67 TransAm car on the attendee sheet.

*** Want to settle once and for all what your beast is putting to the ground?
There will be a full chassis dyno at SAAC-36. available for runs all weekend. It will be located between the Pavilion and the Skid Pad.

*** How about a way to remember your on-track experience all year long?
Our Track Photographer will have HD GoPro Cameras available for rental. This is really cool.
For $20, a technician will mount and configure the camera; it will record your entire track session. When you finish, the tech will uninstall the camera and process the data, handing you a DVD with the full HD video of your run. All that for $20 per camera per session. Multiple cameras can be installed.
