**** might have been run with the lemans top, there's pichurs of it with a smashed down rollbar out there, looked like a staple instead of a paperclip, might have used the staple rollbar for roof clearance

Allan, thanks for your post it really helps. Your car looks amazing, and is one of the main reasons that I was motivated to look into the lemans top. Thanks also, about the tip about gasoline smell.

The top seems like the perfect winter project, and the hatch back option that Mr Bruce has created looks fantastic. As far as the gas smell, I don't care but my wife will, so maybe I could run fuel filler through the trunk.

I will also need to retrofit some type of defrost unit/ heating unit, so the window don't fog up but that will be a seperate thread.

The car is two weeks away from being delivered.

Thanks again for everyones tips.

Who sells, or does anyone sell, the original style hardware that mounts on the windshield frame?

Fran Kress has a source for the original-style parts for the windshield frame attachment area. Unfortunately I already had my attachment solution completed when he showed me what he had..

A while back one of the Unique guys was selling his hardtop, Mike. He goes by JeepSnake over on the Unique site, name is Zach. You might try and contact him... I think he posted an ad over there... check the for sale. Would need to be painted to match your car, but should fit pretty well.

Here is the link...
